Approximate size: 30”H x 96”W x 27”D; or 42”D w/ leaves up
Crafted from exceptionally dense English Oak, this remarkably long tavern style gateleg table is surprisingly heavy, a testament to the robust quality of the timber used in its construction. Its defining utility lies in the ingenuity of its mechanism: each expansive leaf is securely supported by two hinged "wings" that affix firmly to the rails when expanded. The table’s antique appeal is enhanced by its spindle form legs, modestly engraved with additional details and its simplistic natural edge along the outer perimeter of the tabletop. Retaining an exceptional, deep color and rich patina, this piece is highly versatile and exceptionally convenient for dining, offering considerable length and, crucially, plenty of uninterrupted leg room along its entire usable span.
Condition commensurate with age. Minor scuffs, losses and dings commensurate with age. Particular wear is present near the lower extremities of the table legs with some areas featuring robust worming damage, but still stable and entirely functional.
