A distinctive suite of three giltwood (probably walnut) corner armchairs blending a French Provincial meets Art Nouveau style. Each chair features exquisite openwork back rests in the shape of galleries with turned balusters. One of the chairs features a delicate openwork motif inspired by the shape of an open-winged butterfly. Two of the backrests are topped with individualized pinnacles and the suite is made uniform by their feature of striped dark red upholstery and cylindrical legs joined by individually moulded crosspieces. This stunning group makes for the perfect addition to an eclectic interior.
Condition: wear commensurate with age with some losses to the gilding.
